Alluna N16 astrograph
for remote detection method / German Aerospace Center DLR
Alluna Optics supplied in addition
to some 16 inch parabolic mirrors also a 16 inch F3.0 astrograph with some
technical changes to the laser-based stand-off detection.
The optical components have been
optimized for a measured distance of 100 meters. The positioning of the
astrograph is carried out via a direct drive linear actuator with 5 degrees
travel path in 2 axes, also designed and built by Alluna Optics. As a defence
against attacks involving CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear,
explosive) pollutants or hazardous substances and to limit the impact of
such attacks, the laser-based stand-off detection is a fast and discreet
method for detecting and identifying each type of material.
